Wow April is almost to an end and I don’t even remember it starting. So many great things happened in April with new opportunities for myself and Naked Face Nutrition! I’m finally starting to see how hard work starts to pay off as I get to continue to share my passions and work with people around me.
I completed my 4 sessions collaborating with Lululemon and The Sweat Life Regina talking about beauty foods, pre- and post workout meals and snacks and overall health promoting nutrition with active health enthusiasts from different locations in Regina. As well, last night I collaborated with Glow Juicery Regina for an uncooking class incorporating beauty breakfast foods to feed your glow! I can’t wait to do more of these in the upcoming future!
A little bit of details about the beauty food -Blueberries – we enjoyed in our Blueberry Radiance Smoothies and Raw Vegan Donut Holes this past Sunday at Lululemon:
The blue purple pigment that make blueberries so delicious looking translates to helping your skin look young too!
- rich source of antioxidants that promote health of your skin and fight disease
- rich source of Vitamin C needed for the formation of collagen the structural protein in your body responsible for keeping skin firm and youthful, as well is a powerful antioxidant and supports wound healing
- great source of fiber to slow down digestion, decrease blood sugar spikes, and keep you full longer
- 1 cup of whole fresh blueberries is only about 80 calories
What’s your favourite way to eat blueberries? I love them fresh of course, blended into smoothies, or baked into a vegan whole food banana loaf! Try out these super tasty donut holes featuring dried blueberries – they are easy to make and super convenient, ready to grab from your freezer as a delish beauty treat. Have a lovely week!
