I don’t know about you, but my confidence is soaring when my skin is flawless and I feel like I’m looking on point. And we (including I) generally tend to focus on what we put on top of our skin to achieve that look that makes us feel young and beautiful, and we spend overwhelming amounts of money on “miracle” creams, treatments and makeup. Don’t get me wrong, the right products are essential. I love makeup, I love being creative with it, and I love how it makes me feel. But I also love the feeling of being confident enough to go out in public without having to cover my face first. Being told that you look beautiful when you’re not wearing any makeup at all is a euphoric experience!
To get that natural youthful glow, try going beyond topical application. Think of what you ate, drank, how you felt, and your activity for the day. I strongly believe in promoting beauty from the inside out. The health of your internal body will be portrayed in the appearance of your skin, nails, and hair.
David Wolfe captured this aspect of nutrition and health influencing beauty when he wrote “If somebody’s got beautiful skin, it invites us to a deeper understanding as to what is going on inside their body.”
