Here’s where I am at…. a little overwhelmed, a tad stressed, and a bit unsure. Life has been throwing me some curve balls lately but hey, could be worse right? It totally could, so I keep trucking forward and doing what makes me happy. Also to keep me from falling into a deep hole of shittiness, I’ve been pretty good at staying on track nourishing myself with healthy foods and exercising daily (which would count on doing things that make me happy).
There it is, truth. Raw and real. I’m not going to get into it and rant about what is wrong – there is a lot more things that is right in my life. So straightforward, here are my tips for “dealing” with less happy times:
Eat well – eating crappy food will just make you feel worse. Do some meal prep so you have some healthy meals and snacks on hand.
Exercise – this is a great time to process things and de-stress a little. Running is my time to think. It will also keep you feeling well physically so you don’t feel worse mentally.
Recognize what the problem is – how are you going to solve the issue if you just ignore it? Maybe you need to set some new goals, take a different path, or try new things to light your fire again. Get some fresh air– it feels great. Get out of the house and breathe it in.
Surround yourself with supportive and inspiring people – needs no explanation. We really do feed off of other peoples’ energies.
Do things that makes you happy, help others and acknowledge that life is never perfect.
