If you’ve been following me on social media, you’ve seen I have been posting a lot of makeup lately. The reason my feed has been taken over by makeup and less of food- well because of Halloween. Halloween is the perfect time for a makeup artists to be creative and I’ve seen so many amazing makeup posts (instagram, Youtube) that I was so inspired to take part and share what I do as well. Beauty and makeup are a big part of who I am and what Naked Face Nutrition is about, being a makeup artist and dietitian that is passionate about how nutrition and lifestyle influence our appearance. For the next few weeks, however, there will be more of a shift of focus on food and nutrition, so if that’s what you like, then you’ll have that to look forward to. And if itss the makeup that you prefer to see, don’t worry there will be more to come as well!
To wrap up this Halloween, I wanted to share a recap of makeups I featured this year. I did my makeup to work as a makeup artist on Oct 29th (the Saturday before Halloween) as a darker, vampier version of myself (glam, glitter and black lipstick).
Today in my dietitian role at the hospital and it being Halloween, I am dressed up as “superfruit” (very suiting right!?). Check out how I created this costume here.
I had also posted a makeup video for my version of Suicide Squad’s Harley Quinn earlier in the month, which you can watch here.
The following video includes 3 makeups that I did for Halloween. Inspirations include Alice in Wonderland’s- The White Queen (played by Ann Hathaway), Instagram Famous Galaxy Makeup, and Jeffree Star (YouTuber, Makeup Artist, Cosmetic Designer). I’m still learning how to shoot my own videos and hadn’t reached the point where I was ready to do video tutorials for these makeups (at least ones that were up to my standards in regards to quality), so it is more a showcase video. I hope you enjoy and please comment if you have any questions about the makeups!
